Importance:

Humans have been flying in space for nearly sixty years and its rich history is typically not too well-known. Understanding the past is the key to understanding the future- the lessons learned during the Space Race and beyond will assist the space programs of the world in going back to the Moon and onto Mars and deep space. However, in my experiences most people believe they have no part in the exploration of space because they are not scientists or engineers. SpaceflightHistories was founded to prove everyone has their own unique role in the exploration of space.
